Son Ye-jin Confident Drama Thirty Nine Meets Viewers' Expectations

Son Ye-jin said that her latest drama, Thirty Nine, could meet the audience's expectations. The drama is said to have an interesting storyline coupled with slick appearances from the cast.

"I'm sure [this drama] will live up to your expectations, because the script is good, the staff is great, and the actors are amazing," said Son Ye-jin as reported by Osen via Naver on Thursday (3/2).

Not only in front of the camera, but Thirty Nine also has a big name behind the camera, namely Yoo Young-ae as a scriptwriter. Previously, he was the scriptwriter of several hit Korean films, such as Kim Ji-young: Born 1982, and On Your Wedding Day.

"You won't regret it, so please look forward to this drama," said Son Ye-jin.

"I approached [Char Mi-jo's character] and thought that she was a little cold and maybe more rational than me. I felt limited in expressing the character, so during filming, I kept thinking, 'I'm Cha Mi-jo,'" he said.

Cha Mi-jo (Son Ye-jin), Jeong Chan-young (Jeon Mi-do), and Jang Joo-hee (Kim Ji-Hyun) are close friends who have gone through many hardships and joys together.
